Two Clinical Faculty Positions
The University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Nursing invites applications for two clinical faculty positions (PVL# 76298) to begin August 26, 2013 (anticipated date). The positions require an MS in nursing (minimum) with specialization in the acute care nurse practitioner role. A DNP or PhD is preferred. A complete position description can be found online at
Responsibilities involve classroom co-teaching in the foundations sequence for advanced practice nursing and/or supervision of clinical practicum students. The Foundations of Advanced Practice Nursing I and II are designed to advance students' knowledge for clinical decision-making. Health promotion, disease and illness prevention, common health conditions as well as complex and chronic health conditions are emphasized. Advanced Practice Clinical Application and Role Development I and II involves the supervision of a clinical practicum that focuses on the development of advanced health promotion, assessment, and clinical management skills in a variety of health care settings. Engagement in non-teaching activities aimed at accomplishing the missions of the UW–Madison School of Nursing is expected.
