Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital has retained Tyler & Company for an exciting search for a Chief Nursing Officer.
Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital (MHNE) is one of 11 hospitals that makes-up the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System (MHHS). MHNE is a community hospital that provides a variety of clinical services including cancer treatment, endoscopy, heart and vascular, neurosciences, outpatient imaging, physical therapy/rehab, The Sleep Disorder Center, Weight Loss Surgery, Wellness Center, Women’s Services, and Wound Care Center. MHNE was awarded in September 2009 for best quality in all of MHHS.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will report to the Chief Executive Officer, lead patient care services, and provide direction and support to ensure budgetary compliance, employee management, improve patient satisfaction, and lead quality improvement efforts. The CNO will actively participate in strategic planning, assist in the preparation and coordination of capital and operational budgets, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the nursing practice. The CNO will develop and maintain excellent physician relationships, prepare for medical staff meetings, and work with physician leadership to ensure actions taken by the committees are proper, correct and timely. He/She will participate in system-wide performance improvement initiatives and lead the development of performance and quality improvement initiatives across system divisions.
The chosen candidate will be an experienced nurse executive with five to ten years of Chief Nursing Officer experience in a similar sized facility or as the number two nurse executive in a larger hospital or healthcare system. The selected candidate will possess strong operations experience in a highly complex environment; have a track record of reducing LOS, and improving patient flow and throughput programs. The ideal candidate will be a visionary with strategic planning experience as well a demonstrated track record of significantly improving quality, patient, and employee satisfaction scores. The model candidate will be a strong mentor with the ability to recruit and develop future talent, be an advocate for the nursing staff, and have the ability to proactively identify and successfully implement solutions to nursing issues. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and Master of Science of Nursing or related field required. A current Texas nursing license is required, or the candidate must be eligible to transfer current nursing license from another state.
The city of Humble is located in the greater Lake Houston area, which also includes Kingwood, Atascocita, Summerwood, Eagle Springs, and the new Fall Creek subdivision.
