Rush University College of Nursing is pleased to accept applications for the position of Chairperson of the Department of Community, Systems, and Mental Health Nursing. Rush is a recognized leader in nursing education, research, and practice and offers educational programs from prelicensure through the PhD. With three graduate programs nationally ranked in the top 10, the Department of Community, Systems, and Mental Health Nursing is a model of innovation and collaboration. Faculty provide national leadership in their specialties and are committed to creating education, research, and practice models that improve health care to individuals and communities.
The Department Chairperson is responsible for mentoring the faculty toward excellence in education, research and clinical scholarship. The chairperson is expected to champion the College vision of developing a diverse student body and faculty to meet the public’s health care needs in the 21st century. We welcome applications from leaders who have a strong record of scholarship and mentorship, have a sustained program of research, and are able to meet rank criteria for Professor.
