CERTIFIED REGISTERED NURSE ANESTHETIST PROGRAM DIRECTOR AT BLOOMSBURG UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
The Department of Nursing at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for the following permanent 12-month faculty position in the Masters program (AA#82-8-267/Ext.). Full-time, tenure-track Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Program Director beginning August 2009. Rank: Instructor to Associate commensurate with education and experiences. Primary responsibilities: Coordinate a collaborative CRNA Program with Geisinger Health System as well as teach graduate coursework in Bloomsburg University Department of Nursing accredited MSN program. This position requires dual employment with Geisinger Health System.
Qualifications / Experiences:
Doctorate or evidence of enrollment in doctoral study required (Ph.D., D.Ed., Ed.D., DNSc). A Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) will be considered with a contingency contract. Master’s degree in specialty required with current certification or recertification as a nurse anesthetist. Eligible for Pennsylvania RN licensure is required. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred. Finalists will be considered based upon relevant teaching experience, scholarly activities, academic record, references, ability to communicate well, and successfully complete an interview process and teaching demonstration. Recommendation by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty is needed for hiring. Candidates will also be interviewed by officials from the Geisinger Health System Division of Anesthesiology.
