The Jefferson College of Health Sciences invites candidates to apply for its nursing Program Director position in Roanoke, VA. This 12 month position leads the pre-licensure BSN Program and joins both a dynamic nursing leadership team and a forward-thinking college-wide leadership team. The mission of JCHS Nursing Programs is to promote excellence in nursing education, practice, scholarship, and service. Through innovative interprofessional practice and education experiences, graduates will be empowered to provide leadership in the rapidly changing and culturally diverse healthcare environment. Graduates will contribute to the health of all populations as ethical clinicians, educators, researchers, and leaders.Our NCLEX-RN 2012 BSN pass rate was 97% which attests to the quality of our program.
The Jefferson College of Health Sciences is affiliated with Carilion Clinic, a healthcare organization with more than 600 physicians in a multi-specialty group practice and seven not-for-profit hospitals. We are committed to helping fulfill Carilion’s vision of providing interdisciplinary patient care enhanced by education and research. JCHS enrolls over 1,000 students and offers numerous associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, including our Master’s of Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant programs. In addition, the College has been part of a collaborative learning partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine since the school opened in 2010. The college engages in a robust program of interprofessional education for its students to prepare them for collaborative practice readiness.
