Required Qualifications:Master's Degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution. Earned Doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited institution. Current New York State Registered Nursing License. Current New York State Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult Health Primary Care. Minimum of three years previous teaching experience in an upper division college. Minimum of three years in beginning leadership position in Nursing with evidence of involvement in nursing education, clinical practice, research activities or scholarly activities and health care contributions. Minimum of three years’ experience at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Preferred Qualifications:Clinical practice experience in Adult Health. Experience in grantsmanship, publications and research.
Responsibilities & Requirements:The Associate Professor/Program Director will be teaching Undergraduate/Graduate students using on-site/distance education modalities. The incumbent will be accountable for successful teaching and learning practices within the Advanced Practice Nursing Program in Adult Health. S/he will collaborate with faculty in nursing and in other disciplines to advance the programs, activities, and mission of the School. The incumbent will also participate in faculty governance activities and service within the School of Nursing and the University.
Special Notes:This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated start date: 09/01/2013.
