ASSOCIATE DEAN FOR ACADEMIC PROGRAMS AND STUDENT SERVICES
The College of Nursing at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is seeking an Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Student Services. The individual in this position provides academic leadership for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of both undergraduate and graduate programs; administrative management of student services including recruitment, advisement, marketing, enrollment management, and student records management. We are looking for an energetic individual who has new ideas involving technology, informatics, and curriculum.
Candidates for the position of Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Student Services will demonstrate achievement in teaching, research, and service commensurate with tenure and appointment at a minimum rank of Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have communication and interpersonal skills consistent with the leadership role; the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English; a commitment to faculty development and mentorship for teaching, research, scholarship, and practice; and demonstrated leadership ability. A minimum of five years in nursing education with experience at both baccalaureate and graduate levels, and a doctorate in nursing or related field with a graduate degree in nursing are required. Must also be eligible for RN licensure in Tennessee. Educational administrative experience is preferred. Minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. DIRECTOR OF UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
The College of Nursing at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is seeking a Director of Undergraduate Programs. The primary responsibility of this position is management of the undergraduate program, including development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure that the highest quality learning outcomes for the students is achieved. We are looking for a dynamic individual with new ideas in curriculum, technology, and informatics.
Candidates for the position of Director of Undergraduate Programs will demonstrate achievement in teaching, research, and service commensurate with eligibility for tenure or tenure-track appointment. ETSU is a doctoral/research university serving approximately 13,000 students. The university is located in the heart of southern Appalachia surrounded by beautiful rivers, lakes, and mountains. The College of Nursing, part of an Academic Health Science Center, has over 50 faculty and enrolls more than 850 nursing students in its BSN, MSN, and PhD programs. Features of the College of Nursing include:
- Fully accredited BSN and MSN programs;
- LPN-BSN, RN-BSN, and Accelerated Second-Degree BSN tracks;
- FNP, ANP, GNP, PMHNP, nursing education, nursing administration, and CNL MSN specialties;
- Participation in the state-wide MSN-Regents Online Degree Program;
- A PhD program with emphasis on rural health research;
- Collaborative relationships with regional clinical agencies; including fiscal support;

- A history of over $3 million, annually, in grants and contracts for education, research, practice, and service initiatives;
- Comprehensive Office of Student Services, Testing Center, and NURSE Center; and
- A network of nine nurse-managed primary care clinics caring for rural and underserved populations, including a Federally Qualified Health Center.
