Clinical and Tenure Track Faculty
The School of Nursing at Auburn University, located in Auburn, Alabama, invites applications for two full time, 12-month, faculty positions to begin August 16, 2014. Depending upon experience, qualifications and interest, successful candidates may be appointed to either the tenure-track (Assistant/Associate Professor) or non-tenure track (Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor) positions.
Responsibilities include: instruction of graduate and undergraduate students, scholarly productivity in a supportive environment for clinical research, and participation in college and university committees. Job responsibilities will differ based on whether the appointment is tenure or non-tenure.
Minimum qualifications for Clinical Track: Masters degree in nursing. Must have current clinical skills and teaching experience. Eligible for certification in clinical specialty. Desired qualifications: Doctorate in Nursing or related field. Teaching experience in a baccalaureate program and certified in clinical specialty.
Minimum Qualifications for Tenure-Track: Masters degree in Nursing, Doctorate in Nursing or related field is required for tenure. Must have current clinical and teaching experience. Evidence of scholarly productivity and evidence of scholarly publications and presentations. Desired qualifications: Earned doctorate in Nursing or related field, baccalaureate teaching experience and record of funded research.
All applicants must be eligible for Alabama RN license, must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; must be able to communicate effectively.
