Assistant/Associate Professor - Nursing (2 positions)

The School of Nursing seeks research scholars for a tenure track position at rank commensurate with experience. Applicants who are interested in opportunities for developing interprofessional research are strongly encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a research program that builds upon health promotion across the lifespan in the areas of gerontology, rehabilitation, neuroscience and/or behavioral health. Of particular interest are programs of research that focus on quality and safety. Applicants with a record of accomplishments, including external funding, will be strongly considered. Opportunities also exist for interdisciplinary research with faculty from other campus departments.
The successful candidate will be a scientist/educator who will have critical role in the School of Nursing, including the graduate programs.
He/she will develop and maintain an independent extramurally funded research program, as well as collaborate with colleagues on joint projects. The faculty member will also supervise undergraduate and graduate student research; Develop research and practice relations with health care settings; Teach in the School of Nursing programs; Advise students and participate in professional and University service.
The School of Nursing offers classes taught by highly qualified faculty, hands-on laboratory and clinical experiences in a variety of health care settings. The School is housed in the new state-of-the-art Health and Social Sciences Building.
