Assistant Professor of Nursing (9-mos. Tenure-track)

The School of Nursing is currently accepting applications for a 9-month tenure track nursing faculty position which includes teaching and related responsibilities at the undergraduate level.  Primary responsibilities include provide classroom, online and off campus instruction in the MSN and BSN programs; participate in curriculum development, program evaluation and accreditation compliance; active engagement in assessment of student learning and its related analysis and improvement processes. Serve as academic advisor for students in the undergraduate program; maintain practice, service and scholarship responsibilities commensurate with academic rank, and the initiatives and expectations of the School of Nursing; maintain a consistent physical presence on the main campus for the purpose of engagement in the University community and the advancement of the nursing programs within the College of Health Professions; maintain weekly office hours on campus and /or at a regional site at times convenient for students as assigned each semester; active engagement in professional responsibilities that may also include continuing professional development, participation in university committees and traditional activities that have academic significance.

Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing. Completion of doctoral degree in nursing (DNP or PhD) to stand for tenure. Michigan Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility for Michigan license. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care and/or a community health setting. Valid driver's license.
