MOREHEAD STATE UNIVERSITY, recognized as one of the top public universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report, invites applications for a nine-month, tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Associate Degree Nursing Program beginning August 2009. Responsibilities: Conduct classroom and clinical instruction; provide didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction; plan and participate in program, department, college and university activities; prepare instructional and learning guides for courses; evaluate students comprehension of didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction using criterion referenced methods of evaluation; participate in curriculum development and revisions process; maintain clinical expertise; participate in scholarly activity as well as meetings; participate in community service. Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing required; earned doctorate in nursing or related field is strongly preferred. Eligible for license as a registered nurse in Kentucky. Must have a minimum of two years nursing experience within the immediate past five years in medical surgical -surgical clinical area or functional area of responsibility.
