The Univesity of Akron is seeking a Assistant Professor-Medical/Surgical. The University Akron School of Nursing is a part of the newly formed College of Health Professions. The Assistant Professor, Medical/Surgical is a tenure track position and will teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is required and a PhD is preferred. The selected candidate will have advanced practice certification as an adult acute or primary care, family or adult-gerontology nurse practitioner. The individual will have at least 2-years of teaching experience and demonstrated teaching effectiveness. The person will be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio, have a certificate of authority as well as prescriptive authority. This individual must meet the University requirements for graduate faculty status.
