Position SummaryDominican University of California is seeking to fill 3 full-time (9 month), tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Nursing, School of Health and Natural Sciences. These positions commence in Fall 2014. The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will include undergraduate teaching in one of three areas: 1. Medical-Surgical; 2. Community Health; 3. Medical-Surgical and Gerontological. Graduate level teaching is also possible depending on program needs. Tenure and promotion requirements for tenure-track faculty include teaching, scholarship, and service. Opportunities exist for research and teaching collaboration within the School of Health and Natural Sciences.
The Department of Nursing, BRN and CCNE accredited, offers both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nursing. Nursing is the largest program on campus, and is comprised of a very diverse student body. More than 65% of the students are ethnically diverse and many are first-generation college educated.
