About Farmingdale State College:
Established in 1912 as the New York State School of Agriculture on Long Island, Farmingdale State has moved far beyond the boundaries first set when it welcomed its inaugural class to a curriculum steeped in farming techniques. The College offers 33 degree programs in areas as diverse as Aeronautical Science, Applied Economics, and Electrical Engineering. A coeducational, public college with almost 6,500 undergraduate students, including about 500 resident students, Farmingdale State is located on 380 lush acres in the heart of Long Island, approximately 45 minutes from New York City. Since its transition to a technology college in the 1980s, the campus has focused on preparing students for careers in the workplace through its Schools of Business, Arts and Sciences, Engineering Technology, and Health Sciences. Job Description:
College level teaching in both didactic and clinical settings in multiple areas of a Bachelor of science Degree Nursing curriculum. Responsibilities include academic advising, recruitment, mentoring, scholarly activities and participation in departmental, school and campus committees, continuing education and professional activities.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: A Master of Science Degree in Nursing and New York State nursing license or eligibility is required with a minimum of two years recent teaching experience in college and/or clinical settings. A Doctorate in Nursing or related field is required to be considered for tenure.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants with academic teaching experience in Baccalaureate nursing education programs, who have a PhD in Nursing, and can teach in more than one area
