This half-time non tenure-track position in the graduate nursing program is available for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about sharing knowledge with future nurse practitioners. Lewis University's graduate nursing program is growing and dynamic. This position offers the candidate an opportunity to join a creative faculty, to develop a program of research and to explore new teaching methodologies.
Lewis University College of Nursing and Health Professions offers bachelor's, master's and doctor of nursing practice degrees in an environment of personalization, with small class sizes and individualized attention to students. Selected courses and programs are offered both online and face-to-face. Multiple locations throughout the northern Illinois area include on-site programs at area healthcare organizations and at the Lewis campuses in Oak Brook, Tinley Park, Hickory Hills, Chicago, Shorewood and Romeoville. The College of Nursing and Health Professions faculty promote Lasallian and Catholic values by creating an environment which fosters critical thinking, enlightenment, compassion, and community in all teaching, learning and service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Nursing with a concentration in FNP or AGPCNP. Nationally recognized certification in an advanced practice role. The equivalent of two years of full-time clinical nursing experience plus three years of full-time nurse practitioner experience. Licensure as an advanced practice registered professional nurse (APRN) in Illinois or eligibility for same with application in process. PhD, DNP, or doctoral candidate in nursing or related field preferred.
