ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (3 Positions) Whitson Hester School of Nursing

FACULTY POSITION: Anticipated, three full-time, nine-month, tenure track positions available.

QUALIFICATIONS: A master’s degree in nursing at the time of hiring and current clinical and/or teaching experience is required. Current or eligibility for TN-RN licensure.  Preferred: Doctorate in nursing or related area is preferred at time of hiring. Prior teaching in a BSN program.  Candidates who are admitted to a doctoral program will be considered.  All specialties will be considered.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Responsibilities include classroom and clinical teaching. Academic advisement, scholarly activities, university and community service are part of the faculty role. Use of technology, including web-based courses, simulation, and distance learning are encouraged and supported by the University. There are opportunities to maintain professional practice.

SALARY:  Commensurate with education and experience.
