The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for two (2) tenure track Assistant Professor position for the Nursing Department beginning August 15, 2013. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, located in Blue Ash, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 6100 students. Faculty responsibilities include both clinical and classroom settings. All courses may be day or evening. The responsibilities associated with this position include ability to engage in clinical activities with students for a sustained period of time in both college lab and clinical settings without adverse health consequences. Additional responsibilities will include professional/scholarly activities related to the profession and department, college, university, and community service. A specialization in medical surgical and obstetric nursing; Online teaching experience preferred. This position requires proficiency in English; excellent communication skills and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
Position Qualifications: Valid license to practice Nursing in Ohio and teaching experience in a nursing program or other related teaching experience.
Ideal Qualifications: Masters Degree in Nursing; a current, valid license to practice Nursing in Ohio (must have social security number in order to verify with the Ohio Board of Nursing); and teaching experience in a nursing program or other related teaching experience. A specialization in medical, surgical, and obstetric nursing and online teaching experience is preferred.
