The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor of Medical Assisting positions for the Allied Health Department to begin August 15, 2014. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, located in Blue Ash, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 6100 students. All positions require proficiency in English and excellent and information literacy/computer skills. Tenure track faculty responsibilities include teaching courses within the associate degree Medical Assisting and Medical Billing/Coding programs and other courses within the Allied health Department; supervising and evaluating students in the clinical lab and practicum settings; participating in accreditation, recruitment, academic advising, program resource development, and other program, department, college, and university functions.
Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.
Position Qualification: CERTIFIED Medical Assistant (CMA (AAMA) with minimum of an associates degree in medical assisting; Master's degree in related field; successful classroom teaching experience with knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising; recent professional experience.
Ideal Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Nursing, Health Education, or related field.
