ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SAFETY & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

The Contra Costa County Health Services Department has an excellent career opportunity for an Assistant Director of Safety and Performance Improvement located at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez, CA.
Responsibilities include assisting in the management of the daily operations and functions of the Safety and Performance Improvement Division, including participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of the organization’s continuous quality improvement initiatives and activities; training and consultations; developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with organization-wide divisions and members of the medical staff to ensure interdisciplinary performance improvement, peer review, open communication and the sharing of patient care information; as well as identifying, interpreting and monitoring compliance to the quality of care mandates by the federal and state government and other health care accrediting organizations.
Candidates must possess a valid CA RN license, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration or other healthcare related field, and 3 years of experience in a clinical setting performing duties related to continuous quality improvement with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role. Four years of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required Bachelor’s degree.
