Associate Professor, full-time, tenure track
Assistant Professor, full-time, three-year, limited term position
(Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 depending on rank at hire)
Established in 1970, the Rhode Island College Nursing Program was fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in spring 2004. The Program is the largest baccalaureate nursing program in Rhode Island and partners with major health care agencies in the State to provide excellent nursing education. In September 2007 the School of Nursing began offering a new MSN Program.
Since 2001, BSN graduates have achieved pass rates above the state and national average. The student population is richly diverse: 25% report being minority, 12% are male and 25% are second degree candidates. Members of the nursing faculty are experienced teachers who are deeply committed to fostering the intellectual and professional development of students. Nursing faculty are engaged in scholarship and serve as leaders in the profession. Alumni, in addition to numbering over 3,800, are excelling in their careers as clinicians, teachers and leaders.
The Rhode Island College School of Nursing invites applications for the following, full-time positions.
Nursing – Adult Acute/Critical Care. Associate Professor. Opportunity to develop and teach in a new master’s program; provide clinical and classroom instruction in adult acute and critical care for undergraduate and graduate students. Requirements include: Doctoral degree; relevant teaching, clinical experience accomplishment. Preferred: Teaching experience with graduate students; specialty certification.
Nursing – Pediatrics or Maternal Child Health. Assistant Professor. Three-year, limited term position. Teach undergraduate courses and provide clinical instruction and supervision for undergraduate students. Individuals in pediatrics or maternal child health, pediatrics are encouraged to apply. Requirements include: Master’s of Science in Nursing; relevant teaching and clinical experience; current RN license. Preferred: Doctoral degree; college teaching experience.
