The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College, Nursing Department, located in Blue Ash, Ohio, invites applications for an 85% FTE Represented Adjunct faculty position beginning August 15, 2013. Nursing Faculty must be able to engage in clinical activities with students for a sustained period of time in both college lab and clinical settings. Faculty responsibilities include both clinical and classroom settings. All courses may be day or evening. Additional responsibilities will include professional/scholarly activities related to the profession and will serve on committees within the Nursing Department. This position requires proficiency in English; excellent communication skills and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Job Description: On a part-time annual basis the Annual Adjunct Faculty member's principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge. On a workload that exceeds 64% FTE.
Minimum Qualifications: Academic degree in an appropriate discipline and prior teaching experience.
Position Qualification: Requirements for this position include: a Masters Degree in Nursing; a current, valid license to practice Nursing in Ohio (must have social security number in order to verify with the Ohio Board of Nursing); and teaching experience in a nursing program or other related teaching experience.
