The university is experiencing tremendous growth adding new positions monthly and is seeking an outstanding Nursing Faculty member with expertise in Medical Surgical Nursing based in Salt Lake City Utah.

WGU is seeking a Medical /Surgical Nursing expert to serve as faculty for the pre-licensure baccalaureate nursing program. This innovative, cutting edge program is focused on Quality and Safety leadership at the bedside with emphasis on simulation and educational innovations. WGU is a competency-based, technology driven online University which requires faculty to become expert in synchronous and asynchronous communication with students, clinical instructors and clinical sites. Faculty mentors have responsibility for all aspects of student involvement in learning resources in preparation for competency assessments across the entire range of topics covered in the student's university program. This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in nursing required, Doctoral degree is preferred.
- Prior academic experience is preferred, a candidate with a strong clinical related background will be considered.
- Five to seven years of professional experience and/or clinical practice and significant teaching experience in a health-related field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with integrated technology systems and tools
- Up to 30% travel required
