2 Full-Time Lecturer Positions - RN to BS Track Option

The College of Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications and nominations for two full-time lecturers (FTL) for the academic year 2013-2014.
Primary responsibilities include knowledge and expertise in online instruction of nursing courses. This includes demonstrated completion of online competency course(s). This experience and education/training is required. Additional responsibilities include student advisement; oversight and assessment of course sections to meet AACN accreditation requirements; maintaining course sites according to UMass Dartmouth best practices in instructional design. Salary will be highly competitive with an appointment in the Department of Community Nursing.
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is located in the beautiful ocean side community of North Dartmouth, about an hour south of Boston, half hour east of Providence and half hour west of Cape Cod. The College of Nursing has approximately 30 full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate and graduate programs in two Departments; Adult and Child Health and Community Nursing. All programs are fully accredited by the NLNAC through 2014.
The candidate must have a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nursing from an accredited program and be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Massachusetts. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate certification in online education, recent demonstrated experience with online education, with teaching experience preferred.
