Minority Nurse has teamed up with NCEMNA to co-sponsor an annual scholarship to help outstanding nurses from underrepresented groups complete their studies toward a Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing. To date, we have awarded scholarships to more than 40 students, honoring their commitment to the profession, academic excellence, and community service.
NAANA is pleased, once again, to announce its annual scholarships, awarded to the most meritorious applicants who are engaged in studying nursing at the Associate Degree, Bachelor degree, Master’s degree or RN-BSN levels. Annually, awards are made in the amounts of $500 - $1000, depending on the funds available in a given year for scholarships. The awards may be applied toward tuition and/or books in a given academic year.
Provides various scholarships open to African American nursing students currently enrolled in a BSN, ADN, diploma or LPN/LVN nursing program. Must be a member of NBNA and have at least one full year of school remaining.
The Medical Professionals of Tomorrow Scholarship is available to full-time college students who are pursuing a course of study in a medical field, including those studying to become a doctor, nurse, physical therapist, anesthesiologist, radiologist, and all those who are pursuing other medical fields! One applicant will be selected, out of the many, to receive this $5,000 scholarship award.
Winners will be announced in late May 2012. In the meantime, tell a nursing student or non-physician healthcare professional that their work and efforts matter – by nominating them for the Cherokee Inspired Comfort Award.
