Fall Must-Haves: Reading, Resources and Recruitment Tools

This is the time of year when consumer magazines are full of photo spreads showcasing everything from the coolest college dorm accessories and the new fall fashions to previews of the sleekest new 2007 cars. But what about nurses who want to know what resources are available to help them provide culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations, or to help recruit the next generation of minority nurses? The Debilitator

Created by African American independent filmmaker Maurice Madden, The Debilitator is a culturally competent, award-winning film about the impact of diabetes in the black community. This powerful docudrama, available in both VHS and DVD formats, is designed to educate African Americans about diabetes, its complications and how they can successfully self-manage their disease.
