Samuel Merritt College (SMC) is an accredited, multi-specialty health sciences institution offering an exceptional education for health care professionals in undergraduate (Baccalaureate) and graduate (Master’s and Doctorate) programs.

With campuses in Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco and San Mateo, SMC School of Nursing graduates the largest number of license-eligible students in California. The school’s expanding nursing programs include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a 12-month Accelerated BSN, and an Entry-level Master’s.

Associate Dean for Operations

School of Nursing – Oakland Campus

This position oversees the School’s administrative function including faculty and agency policies, procedures and contracts; faculty recruitment and development; ensures ongoing compliance with program and school accreditation. This is a ranked faculty position requiring a Doctorate degree; a Master’s degree in Nursing; CA RN licensure; 3 years of teaching in Baccalaureate and higher degree programs; management experience in higher education; and 2 years of clinical nursing.

SMC also invites applications for faculty and clinical instructor positions in various areas including: Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health, Mental Health, Pediatrics & Maternity.
