Nursing Faculty PositionsCalifornia State University, Stanislaus, Turlock, CAPOSITION: Tenure Track Position in Mental Health Nursing: The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Master of Science Degree in Nursing with clinical major or area of concentration in mental health nursing; doctorate preferred; current clinical experience required; current or eligibility for California R.N. licensure; knowledge of and ability to work within a multi-ethnic community; ability to teach in both Pre-licensure and RN to BSN tracks. Applicant must be eligible for teaching approved by the California State Board of Registered Nursing. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A potential candidate’s consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of the ability to teach in a second clinical area. POSITION: Tenure Track Position in Medical/Surgical Adult Health Nursing: The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor depending on highest degree earned and experience. The person appointed to this position will teach in the areas of: Adult Health theory and clinical. Additional responsibilities will include: teaching other courses as appropriate to specialty, program evaluation, and student advising. In addition opportunities exist for the development and implementation of a state of the art clinical simulation laboratory. Effective teaching, scholarship, and service to the University are required for retention, promotion, and tenure. This is an academic year appointment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Master of Science Degree in Nursing with clinical major or area of concentration in medical/surgical nursing; current clinical experience required; current or eligibility for California R.N. licensure; knowledge of and ability to work within a multi-ethnic community; ability to teach in both Pre-licensure and RN to BSN tracks. Applicant must be eligible for teaching approved by the California State Board of Registered Nursing. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctorate from an appropriately accredited institution. A potential candidate’s consideration will also be enhanced by providing evidence of the ability to teach in a second clinical area.
