New Tenure-Track Faculty Positions

The University of Connecticut School of Nursing, Storrs, CT

The University of Connecticut School of Nursing (http://www.nursing.uconn.edu) seeks qualified applicants for several tenure-track positions, at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities will include scholarship, teaching across levels, and professional service.
UConn, a research-extensive institution, ranks among the top 25 public universities in the country and seeks to attract an active, culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. UConn and the School are fully committed to a culturally diverse faculty and student body.

UConn’s philosophy of interdisciplinary scholarly collaboration and the School’s Center for Nursing Research create an environment for productivity and achievement for an established scholar or for one who has only a few years of experience in research and teaching, but who is committed to pursuing a productive academic career. The School offers internal post-doctoral opportunities; assignments adjusted for concentration on research; collaborations with the Schools of Business, Dental Medicine, Education, Fine Arts, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Social Work, and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Agriculture & Natural Resources; support for teaching and learning; opportunities for international work; and rich potential for faculty practice (including joint appointments) in urban and/or rural areas.

Minimum Qualifications: The School welcomes applications from individuals with doctoral preparation, at least one graduate degree in nursing, and specialty certification, who have either an established program of research or who are in the early stage of research program development. A record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and an extramurally funded research program are essential for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Candidates must also demonstrate an understanding of the reciprocal relationship between teaching and research across levels. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Connecticut.

To apply, send a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, and contact information for at least three referees to:
