Assistant Professor Tenure Track PositionMount St. Mary's College, MSN Program, Department of Nursing, Los Angeles, CAMount St. Mary's College, a Catholic liberal arts institution, serves one of the most diverse student bodies in the nation. The College is seeking applications and nominations for a tenure track position as a full-time assistant professor in the graduate nursing program. Housed on two beautiful campuses, the Department of Nursing offers five exceptional programs leading to an associate degree, baccalaureate degree for traditional students, and accelerated BSN, and a master's degree. The newest program is the A D N to MSN Bridge which will begin in Fall 2008. The Department of Nursing is known as the home of the Roy Adaptation Model and bases its undergraduate curriculum on this internationally known nursing model. Requirements: Earned doctoral degree required. If doctorate is in a related discipline, an MSN is required; clear and current license to practice nursing in the State of California; ability to teach a variety of courses at the graduate level. Necessary qualities of candidates: Professional expertise; knowledge and experience with academic and/or agency systems; experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives; ability to work with diverse students and colleagues; strength in collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies; commitment to the mission of the College.
