THREE AVAILABLE POSITIONS The School of Nursing of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama is seeking applicants for three full-time tenure track positions to begin January 1, 2008 or August 16, 2008. Candidates with expertise in areas of pediatrics, psych/mental health and adult health are sought to teach our highly qualified student body. Auburn University, a land-grant university with 24,000+ students is located in a family-oriented community in central Alabama, close to metropolitan areas, recreational sites and the Gulf Coast. The community is well respected nationally for its excellent K-12 educational system. The East Alabama Medical Center, a progressive regional health facility, offers many opportunities for clinical research. Responsibilities include: Classroom and clinical teaching, scholarly productivity in a supportive environment for clinical research and participation in college and university committees. Great opportunity to participate in an innovative and growing master’s in nursing program. Preferred qualifications: Doctorate in nursing or related field, baccalaureate and graduate teaching experience in nursing and evidence of scholarly productivity. Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing with a specialty in pediatrics, psych/mental health or adult health, current clinical skills with significant progress toward completion of doctorate. Doctorate in nursing or related field is required for tenure. Candidates must be eligible for Alabama RN license, meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment and be able to communicate effectively in English.
