Samuel Merritt College is an accredited, multi-specialty health sciences institution offering an exceptional education for health care professionals in undergraduate (Baccalaureate) and graduate (Master's and Doctorate) programs.

With campuses in Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco and San Mateo, SMC School of Nursing graduates the largest number of license-eligible students in California. The school's expanding nursing programs include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a 12-month Accelerated BSN, and an Entry-level Master's.

Samuel Merritt College School of Nursing seeks part-time Clinical Faculty to teach in a variety of disciplines, including Pediatrics, Maternity, Med-Surg and Critical Care, Community and Mental Health. As clinical faculty, you will teach nursing students during their practicum in hospital or clinical settings.

Qualifications for Adjunct Clinical Faculty

BSN in Nursing (Master's preferred)
Demonstrated current competence in the clinical area
Effective leadership and communication skills
Past experience in clinical teaching position preferred

Compensation is competitive. (Note also that Kaiser nurses are eligible to retain their Kaiser pay and benefits while teaching for Samuel Merritt College.)
