Assistant Professor of Nursing

Naugatuck Valley Community College, Waterbury, CT

POSITION:
Assistant Professor of Nursing
10-Month, Tenure Track Position

ANTICIPATED STARTING DATE:
August 25, 2008

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Nursing, current CT R.N. license, and four years' college teaching experience, or eight years work -related experience, or a combination of 2 years teaching experience and 4 years work related experience.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them for the responsibilities of this position. They must also provide appropriate references. Exceptions to the degree requirements may be made for compelling reasons.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Director of Allied Health, Nursing, and Physical Education, shall teach a full load each semester. Position requires two clinical days per week. Performance of other duties associated with teaching in a community college is expected.

MINIMUM SALARY:
$50,019 annual approximate, pending contract arbitration decision, plus excellent medical insurance, retirement and related fringe benefits.
