Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program
I had the pleasure of meeting Lena Gould during my first general rotation as a student. Nervous and not knowing what to expect she greeted me and other students with respect and proper guidance. Lena's non-threatening temperament in the operating room helped me grow as a student, in an environment which sometimes can be a very harsh. She has been an integral part in my success as a student and future CRNA. My experence of the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia program has led me to see other students' views and experiences, education on anesthesia equipment, networking with other CRNA's, including meeting former president of the AANA Goldie Brangman, CRNA. Her program is a huge advantage for any student to be a part of. Thank you so much Lena, My first step led me in the right direction.
