Great Hand Creams for Dry, Cracked Hands

As nurses and budding students, we are constantly washing our hands with harsh industrial cleansers and sanitizers to inhibit the growth and transmission of organisms. Unfortunately, by the end of the shift, we develop unsightly hands that are rough, cracked, and uncomfortably dry.  On one particular instance, my hands became so coarse that I could hear my ragged palms scrape against my cotton shirt.  At that time, I was utilizing several lotions and creams with slight improvement, but I was seeking soft, supple hands. Therefore, I began a quest to discover a reasonable and effective product that yields obvious results. Although I did quite a bit of legwork, I have found hand creams that deliver noticeably silky, smooth hands after one use. Here are my favorites.

Soap & Glory: Hand Food Hand Cream

  1. Smells delicious
  2. Absorbs well
  3. Non-greasy
  4.  Worked after 1 use

Jack Black Industrial Strength Hand Healer

  1. Moisturizing
  2. Healing
  3. Worked after 1 use
