To date, little information has been collected regarding the the under-representation of minorities in the CRNA profession. Information collected in this study will provide valuable information that will potentially benefit the profession of Anesthesia through a gained understanding of the factors affecting diversity within the profession.
In order to participate in this study, you must be a baccalaureate prepared registered nurse in the United States. Your participation in this research is completely voluntary and you may withdraw at any time. The survey is estimated to take 10 minutes to complete.
This study seeks to gain a better understanding of the experiences of Latino men related to the disclosure of same-sex behavior to health care providers. Participants will be asked to share their thoughts and opinions on sexuality, experiences with health care providers, factors that have influenced decisions to share information with health care providers, perceptions as to support systems available to Latino men, and perceptions as to sources of information related to sexual health and health care services that are available to Latino men.
The study will consist of an anonymous online survey that should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. The survey is available in English or Spanish. At the end of the survey, you will have an opportunity to participate in an anonymous telephone interview that should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
