She is now a full-time assistant professor of nursing at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Karen S. Reesman, Ph.D., R.N., N.E.A.-B.C., is the Founding Chair of the Department of Nursing and Nursing Program at Appalachian State University. She is now a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing.
