Overview:

Founded in 1896, Adelphi University is the oldest private university on Long Island. Today, Adelphi is a doctoral level, non-sectarian university comprising eight schools: the College of Arts and Sciences; the Honors College; University College; the Schools of Business, Education, Nursing, and Social Work; and the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. Adelphi currently enrolls more than 6,800 students in over 100 undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs. Adelphi students come from across the United States and from 50 countries around the world.
