RN to BSN Fast Track: USF is prepared to help those with an RN licensure to reach greater heights by earning their BSN. An online program has been developed as well as a partnership with Joliet Junior College for baccalaureate completion.
Bachelor of Science in NursingThe curriculum provides students with knowledge and skills to meet the nursing needs of contemporary society as well as the intellectual inquiry necessary for the continued development of the nursing profession. The BSN is offered in a traditional manner with a combination of general studies and lab courses to fulfill the degree.
Master of Science in Nursing:Emphasizes expansion of nursing knowledge to prepare nurses for an advanced role. The emphasis is placed on developing nurses who will assume a leadership role within the healthcare delivery system and the nursing profession. Education, practice, and research are integrated to ensure the development of knowledge and clinical expertise paramount to addressing the healthcare issues of the 21st century. All programs are delivered online to eligible students.
Family Nurse Practitioner
Family Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
The DNP program offered by LCON prepares nurses with their MSN for leadership roles as advanced practice nurses or advanced role nurses in health care practice, education and policy advocacy. The DNP degree will prepare graduates to provide the most advanced level of health care for populations based on evidence-based scientific, medical and nursing research and practice. This program is delivered online and accessible to graduate nursing students nationwide.

Post-Master’s DNP for Advanced Nursing Practice with Added Education Concentration
Post-BSN Early Admission to the DNP Program for Students in the USF MSN Program
This certificate is designed for post-baccalaureate RNs seeking or currently in staff development, patient education or academic nursing faculty roles. Students who complete this certificate are eligible to sit for NLN certification examination for nurse educators after two years in an academic setting.
Family Nurse Practitioner
The Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate program allows Master’s-prepared nurses to expand their scope of practice to include care of all age groups. The program features an array of clinical experiences that focus on the primary care needs of patients, families, and communities.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
This certificate program prepares nurses with their Master’s degrees to move into advanced practice settings within the mental health field. You will provide care to individuals, families, or populations who are at risk for developing or who have common, acute or chronic mental health problems or illnesses.
