As a result of a recent HRSA grant, the University at Buffalo School of Nursing has expanded its PhD program to now include a distance learning option. This new program is a great opportunity for those students who, due to work or family obligations, are not geographically located near a PhD program. With the use of new videoconferencing technologies and other resources, UB has successfully created a blended classroom environment, allowing the distance students to fully participate in a real-time classroom environment with other classmates and professors.
