Faith Community/Parish Nurses function as health advocates, health educators and counselors, referral agents, volunteer coordinators, support group developers and integrators of faith and health. The Sanford Center for Aging is a free-standing center devoted to aging-focused research, education, and community outreach. The Center is anticipated to become the central locus of these activities at the University of Nevada, Reno. A successful director will create a vibrant, self-sustaining, multidisciplinary center of excellence in aging. Significant support for this role includes a new 6,000 ft. sq. clinical education center, additional administrative and support space and a substantial endowment. The director will report to the vice president of the division of health sciences.
