Apply for the 2010 Minority Nurse Scholarship Program

At Minority Nurse, we believe the baccalaureate is the degree that opens the most doors of opportunity for nurses of color. That’s why we offer an annual scholarship program to help outstanding students complete their studies leading to a BSN degree. To date, we have awarded nearly 40 scholarships, totaling $32,000, to nursing students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to academic excellence and community service.
Minority Nurse is now accepting applications for our 11th annual scholarships, which will be awarded in 2010.
Who Is Eligible?
The scholarships are open to racial and ethnic minority students who in fall 2010 will be enrolled in either:
• The third or fourth year of an accredited BSN program in the United States
• An accelerated program leading to a BSN degree (such as RN-to-BSN or BA-to-BSN)
• An accelerated Master’s Entry nursing program for students with bachelor’s degrees in fi elds other than nursing (such as BA-to-MSN)
What Are the Scholarship Amounts?
Minority Nurse will award $5,000 in scholarships:
• One $3,000 Scholarship
• Two $1,000 Scholarships
When Are the Scholarships Paid?
Scholarships will be paid in summer 2010 for the fall 2010 term.
When Is the Deadline?
The application deadline for the 2010 Minority Nurse scholarships is February 1, 2010.
